Transcripts, 1770-1809.

Transcripts of letters, newspaper columns, and other documents written by James Sullivan, including some during his term as governor of Mass. (1807-1808), notes, and drafts, apparently collected and created by Thomas C. Amory in preparation of his "Life of James Sullivan" (Boston: 1859). The collection also includes some transcripts of material on John Sullivan, presumably gathered for Amory's "Military Services and Public Life of Major General John Sullivan, of the American Revolutionary Army" (Boston: 1868).
